Signal driven, these dual pole testing devices are used to accurately determine the phase relationship between two energised conductors that are working at the same nominal voltage and frequency.

The E4510 is suitable for use both outdoors and indoors and can be used on high voltage systems that use 11kV operation. They use audible and LED indicator to show phase status.

This device includes a 3MΩ resistor chain, tolerance of ±5% and threshold of 3.3kV. Response time is generally less than one second.

Another version of this device exists that includes an analogue meter attached to the rods to calculate exact measurements.
